My whole working career has been in healthcare. From starting off as a CNA to working medical records, business office manager, assistant Administrator, Post Acute Director to accepting the Executive Director Position here at Skyline.

 My passion has always been our senior community. I’m very excited to work with the Skyline Team and residents to bring back the grandma’s house feel.

 On my down time my family and I love to Camp, spend time on the water and travel as much as possible.

I was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived there until my family moved us to Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Hospitality Management. I worked for Marriott Hotels & Resorts as well as other hotels and country clubs for 30 years traveling the country.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Dennis, and we currently have 4 rescue dogs which are our ‘children’. One of our favorite vacation spots in the USA was always Lake Tahoe. We visited here every year in Summer AND Winter since 2005 and we vowed that one day we would live in this most incredible part of the country! We even eloped and got married up at Vista Point in Lake Tahoe in 2008! We lived in Fort Lauderdale, FL for 16 years. In 2017 Hurricane Maria swept through South Florida and we decided right then and there that it was time to move, so we sold our house, packed up the pups and moved to beautiful Carson City in June of 2018. BEST decision we ever made!

Many years ago my Father developed Alzheimers and also suffered from Parkinson’s Disease. I had to go with my Mom to find an Assisted Living facility for him to live in and I remember it being so scary and confusing, not knowing what questions to ask and what to look for in a facility. I also remember feeling so sad for the folks there that didn’t have visitors or family and how lonely they must have felt. Unfortunately my career did not allow for any free time to be able to volunteer. I truly believe that I landed here in Carson City for a reason and that was to break into the Senior Living industry where I have been for the past 3 years. Now I get to help people find a safe and loving community for their loved ones and answer ALL the questions that I had when my Mom was looking for a place for my Father. I feel very blessed to now be a part of Skyline Estates which has an excellent reputation here in Carson City and look forward to working with the wonderful team we have here as well as meeting and getting to know all of our amazing residents.

Activity Director

Ila Yeager is excited to come back to Skyline Estates to bring a wide range of life enrichment activities to every resident. Ila has worked for 16 years in healthcare settings and has been an Activity Director for over four years. She has always been passionate about bringing an upbeat and lively approach to the residents through various activities to improve their emotional, intellectual, and physical wellness. She is certified as an Activity Director to continue bringing quality of life to residents through life enrichment activities and is pursuing her BA in Healthcare Administration. She enjoys taking her hobbies such as painting, exercise, cooking, gardening, and being outdoors and creates activities that bring new and old hobbies back to our residents.

Jessie Stiles

My educational background is in science, I have a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in Entomology. I have lived and worked managing laboratories and restaurants all over the west coast. As much as I love science, I enjoy people and the restaurant environment more. At a young age my father franchised several restaurants, I grew up learning the industry and how to be a part of it. Throughout high school and college I continued to work in restaurants. After graduate school, I worked in my field for a few years and realized that I was happier in a serving environment. I now have 25 years of food and restaurant experience.

I came to Skyline with a passion for helping people any way that I can. My best contribution will be working with the dining staff and residents. My hope is that having the scientific knowledge of food safety and sanitation as well as vector control will be an asset to this facility.

Originally from Chico, California I moved to Nevada in 2012. My husband is originally from Washoe Valley, and we currently live here in Carson City. We love the area and enjoy the fun events that are frequent in Virginia City, Genoa, Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Reno. When we can travel further, we like to scuba dive anywhere tropical.

I am very excited to be a part of the Skyline team and look forward to the future events that we can plan for our residents.

Wellness Director

My name is Elysia Angala. I have lived in Northern Nevada all my life (32 years) and have watched the Reno and Carson City area flourish into what it is today. I lived in Washoe Valley and went to school there until I was 14 when my mother relocated us to Carson City. I was part of Carson High School’s 2009 graduating class. From there I immediately joined the work force. I have a very extensive background in administrations. I worked as a CSR for Farmers Insurance for 2 years and eventually made my way to Harley Davidson Financial Services. In Early 2018 I took a few months off from the work force to focus on being a mom of 3. In September of 2018 I was ready to get back to work and was referred to Skyline Estates by a former employee/personal friend. I came and did my interview and accepted the RA position and immediately fell in love with being a caregiver. A few months after I started, I received my Medical Technician license and have since then dedicated much of my time and life to the Skyline family. After 5 years of hard work, I was offered the position of Wellness Director and have been beyond blessed to take on this role. Skyline is a second home to myself and my children who have spent many hours with our senior citizens here. I hope to continue to build on top of the already amazing care we provide for our seniors. The sky is the limit 😊

Bob Reykers

Director of Maintenance

Originally from California, where he attended San Jose University and majored in Mathematics. Bob is a fourth-generation painter.  He co-owned and operated Reykers Painting in Carson City and Las Vegas before going to work for the Nevada System of Higher Education where he served as the Paint Supervisor and Facilities Manager for the largest post secondary institution in the state.

After returning home to Carson City, Bob started a second career which included 4 years at a local golf course, culminating as the Course Superintendent for a 27-hole course.  He has experience managing the facilities and operations of hotel and healthcare facilities as well.

Bob has been married for 36 years, with three children and seven grandchildren.   His hobbies include reading, fantasy football and whitewater rafting.
